Mark Campana is the President and Broker of Anchor Realty, Inc., a fourth-generation, family-owned San Francisco real estate company founded in 1945 by his grandfather, Angelo Campana, and Rino Del Curto. With more than 35 years of experience in Bay Area real estate, Mark specializes in the acquisition, disposition, leasing, and management of residential and commercial properties.
Mark joined Anchor Realty in 1989 and has served as President since 1992. Under his leadership, Anchor Realty has continued to grow its property management, leasing, and brokerage operations while maintaining the hands-on, relationship-driven approach that has defined the family business for generations.
Throughout his career, Mark has developed extensive experience managing residential and commercial real estate throughout San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. As President of Anchor Realty, he oversees the company’s property management portfolio as well as its real estate sales operations, giving him a comprehensive perspective on property operations, leasing, valuation, investment, and disposition.
Mark is also an accomplished real estate broker with significant transaction experience throughout San Francisco and the Peninsula. Since 1995, he has personally represented buyers and sellers in more than $850 million in real estate sales between San Francisco and Redwood City. His experience spans a broad range of property types, including single-family residences, condominiums, apartment buildings, multi-unit residential properties, and commercial real estate.
In addition to his brokerage and property management work, Mark has been qualified as an expert witness in San Francisco Superior Court, providing testimony regarding San Francisco residential leasing practices and the fair rental value of residential property. This experience reflects his extensive knowledge of the San Francisco rental market and the operational and regulatory issues affecting residential property owners.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He received his California real estate salesperson license in 1991 and his California real estate broker license in 1992.
Over the course of his career, Mark has been affiliated with numerous professional organizations, including the National Association of Realtors, National Association of Residential Property Managers, San Francisco Association of Realtors, San Mateo County Association of Realtors, San Francisco Apartment Association, and Professional Property Management Association.
Mark’s approach to real estate is rooted in long-term relationships, practical market knowledge, and an owner’s perspective toward every property he represents. Whether advising a client on the management of a longtime family asset, evaluating a potential sale, negotiating a transaction, or addressing the day-to-day complexities of property ownership, he brings decades of experience and an in-depth understanding of the San Francisco Bay Area real estate market.
Today, Mark continues to lead Anchor Realty while carrying forward the family legacy established by his grandfather more than 80 years ago. With the fourth generation of the Campana family now joining the company, Mark remains focused on preserving Anchor Realty’s reputation for integrity, personal service, and trusted real estate guidance while positioning the firm for its next generation to serve San Francisco.
