Noe Valley’s street grid dates to the 1850s, when the land that once belonged to José de Jesús Noé was divided into lots as Horner’s Addition. Building picked up in the late 1800s and early 1900s, especially after the 1906 earthquake, and the neighborhood holds one of San Francisco’s highest concentrations of row houses. Italianate Victorians from the 1870s, Eastlake designs from the 1880s, and peaked Queen Anne homes from the 1890s share blocks with graceful Edwardians. Many have been carefully restored. Homes for sale in Noe Valley range from single-family Victorians and Edwardians to flats and condos, with hillside streets offering views of the skyline and bay.
